Privacy Policy
Math Alarm collects no personal data, and it cannot. The app is not granted internet access by Android, so it has no technical means of sending anything anywhere. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers.
Everything the app knows stays on your phone. If you buy Pro, Google Play handles the payment; see Buying Pro.
What the app stores on your device
To work as an alarm clock, Math Alarm saves the following in its own private storage on your phone, where only this app can read it:
- Your alarms: time, repeat days, label, sound, volume, vibration and difficulty settings
- Your default preferences for new alarms
- Whether you have completed the one-time reliability setup, and the result of any alarm delivery test you have run
- Copies of any audio files you choose as alarm sounds, so they still ring if the original is moved or deleted. You pick each file yourself; the app cannot see your other files.
- Your Pro status: when your seven-day trial began, and whether your Google account owns Pro
None of it is transmitted to us or shared. If Android backup is switched on for your Google account, Android may include these settings in your own backup and restore them when you reinstall the app. That backup is Android’s, kept in your Google account and controlled by you; we cannot see it.
Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored. Settings → Data & privacy → Reset App & Data → Complete Factory Reset removes everything except when your trial began and whether you own Pro, so a reset does not start a new trial or lose a purchase.
What the app does not do
- It does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or contacts
- It does not collect location data
- It does not track your usage, in the app or anywhere else
- It does not contain advertising
- It does not share or sell data to anyone, because it holds none to share
Buying Pro
Pro is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. Google handles the payment, under Google’s own privacy policy. Math Alarm receives only Google Play’s confirmation that your Google account owns Pro, which it keeps on your phone to switch Pro features on. We never receive your name, email address or payment details.
Permissions, and why each is needed
Android permissions let an app use a device feature. None of the permissions below can send data off your phone.

| Google Play billing | Let you buy Pro through the Play Store app on your phone |
| Network state | Required by Google’s billing library, which checks whether your phone is online. It reads that one fact and sends nothing: the app has no internet access |
Notably absent is the INTERNET permission. Without it, Android blocks the app from
making any network connection at all.
Children
Math Alarm is a general-audience alarm clock. It is not directed at children, and because it collects no data, it collects none from children either.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app collects anything — for example optional, clearly-labelled crash reports — this page will be updated before that version is released, and the app will ask for your consent first. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
